Two problems have long been associated with installing and maintaining batteries in HFC networks: The first is how to maintain critical spacing between batteries to prevent overheating particularly for the middle battery. The second problem is how to secure the Remote Temperature Sensor (RTS) to the side of the battery to ensure proper temperature compensation when charging the batteries. The Battery Spacer Clip (BSC) is an innovative product that solves both problems. The BSC clips to the top of the battery and forces the critical .5in/12.7mm spacing for ventilation required by battery manufacturers. The BSC also holds the RTS in the proper position on the side of the middle battery for accurate battery temperature measurements. The BSC is an inexpensive way to ensure longer battery life especially in hot climates.

Installation Instructions
The BSC has been designed to fi t the AlphaCell 165, 185 and 210 series batteries. To install, flex the clip and hook the
retaining tabs over the top of the battery as shown below. Alpha Technologies recommends the use of two battery clips
for a 36V battery string and 4 clips for a 48V battery string for optimal spacing.
