Summary: Position has been created for the support of ongoing manufacturing test equipment development, both manual and automated, for Alpha’s power supply and related peripheral products. Position involves the design and development of both hardware and software elements of production test fixtures.

Responsibilities:

Interfacing with project engineers, engineering management, and production management to develop test requirement specifications for new and existing Alpha products
Conceptualizing test fixture plans to meet test requirements specification, and following through with full hardware and software development of that plan
Conducting and documenting qualification testing of fixture designs to assure they consistently meet test specifications
Documenting and releasing fixture designs and test procedures to production for use and reproduction
Troubleshooting technical issues that come up during production testing of products to identify root cause and corrective improvements

Required Qualification / Skills:

Minimum 2 years of automated manufacturing test development experience for electronic products
Extensive development experience using Labview for hardware integration/automation and test data generation
2 year technical degree in electronics or equivalent
Proficiency with all common electronics laboratory equipment (meters, oscilloscopes, power analyzer, data acquisition modules, etc…)
Very strong organizational and writing skills to draft concise and effective test procedures for manufacturing personnel to follow
Very limited travel may be required

Desired Qualifications / Skills:

Design and/or test experience with power supplies, battery chargers, ferro-resonant transformers, or batteries
Design and/or test experience with coaxial RF communication products
Proficiency in C/C++ programming
Exposure and familiarity with MRP/ERP system (optimally SAP)
Proficiency in Altium schematic capture
Familiarity with high volume electronics production test methods (ICT, MDA, bed of nails physical interfaces, high reliability fixture interfaces (VPI, Hypertronics, etc…))

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Select, architect and implement the tools and processes needed to automate test-driven development in an embedded controller environment.
Work with end users, Business Analysts and QA Analysts to clarify expected behavior of features.
Firmware definition, design and sustaining effort using various micro-controller families such as Freescale, Motorola, PIC etc.
Continuous research to keep up with new technologies and best practices.
Prepare and maintain technical specification documentation and train junior engineers.
Contribute to continuous improvements of existing systems.
Participate in effort and complexity estimation for proposed new software.
Participate in the development of the department’s strategic goals and direction.
Implement computer software for UPS Controllers.
Support, troubleshoot and improve firmware design of existing power supplies and generator product families.

Credentials and Experience:

Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
10+ years of relevant embedded firmware development industry experience.

Summary:

Summary:
The Regulatory Compliance Engineer is responsible for the testing, qualification and certification of all new, modified or existing products to regulatory standard. The candidate is proficient with different product safety standards including EMI/EMC, CE, NEBS and local electrical codes. Responsibilities:
