ALPHA TECHNOLOGIES INTRODUCES CURBSIDE GENERATOR SYSTEMS
Bellingham, Wash., March 11, 1999 - Power system manufacturer Alpha Technologies has introduced an advanced line of curbside generator systems designed specifically for powering cable television, telecommunications, and broadband networks.
These new curbside generator systems—part of the AlphaGenä offering—provide greatly extended runtime capability to critical applications. When used in conjunction with Alpha CableUPS power supplies, AlphaGen generator systems combine the reliability of proven UPS-grade power with an unprecedented source of backup power.
The AlphaGen line incorporates several technological advantages including; significantly reduced audible noise levels, higher power density and improved fuel compatibility. The generator systems have also been improved allowing them to be located further from the power supply installation.
The generator systems are fueled by either natural gas or propane and use a universal regulator, making them highly compatible with existing network equipment. They provide reliable, unattended operation and incorporate numerous safeguards to protect the generator system, maintenance personnel and the general public. Communication functions allow both remote monitoring and startup capability.
