ALPHA INTRODUCES ADDITIONAL BATTERY ENCLOSURE SOLUTIONS

Bellingham, Wash., February 22, 1999 - Alpha Technologies has developed two new battery enclosures – the BE-UPE and the BP3. Both provide extended battery run times for existing power systems.

These new enclosures have been designed with the same high quality and long life customary with all Alpha products. Two main features make these enclosures unique – the ability to provide more than double the amount of battery backup runtime, and easy field installation to an existing Alpha power supply system.

The BE-UPE is designed to attach to an existing Alpha UPE enclosure. The new enclosure comes equipped with a base that essentially becomes a lid for the UPE. The finished result is an aesthetically pleasing design that creates the perception of a single enclosure. The additional battery capacity can more than double the available backup time of the power system. Installation for the BE-UPE enclosure can take as little as ten minutes to complete.

The BP3 was intentionally built to work in conjunction with the Alpha PWE enclosure. Engineered flexibility allows this enclosure the option of being either pole or wall mounted. It has been given the same width and depth dimensions as the PWE to ensure a uniform looking system.

Both enclosures are constructed of long life, weather-resistant aluminum. A durable powder coat finish and interior stainless steel hardware, provide superior corrosion resistance and long service life. The removable front door and standard battery slide tray makes access simple and easy.
