ALPHA OFFERS NEW STANDBY POWER SUPPLY

Bellingham, Wash., March 1, 2000 - Power supply manufacturer Alpha Technologies has introduced a new and improved version of its popular AM Series standby power system. The AM Series 2 power supply has been specifically designed for cable TV and broadband networks.

The AM Series 2 single ferro design provides fully regulated output voltage, surge and short circuit protection, plus complete line conditioning under all modes of operation and loading. Standard features include; reliable quasi-square wave output power, battery circuit breaker, output fuse and several indicators. Some options include; an automatic performance monitor, rack mount brackets, LCD display and status monitoring capabilities. This is a cost-effective standby power system that can provide up to three hours of backup time when used with AlphaCell Premium Gel batteries.

The AlphaCell line of batteries includes six different models incorporating four separate battery technologies, ensuring optimal performance for all cable TV and broadband applications. These new batteries provide improved performance, longer runtimes, extended service life and lower cost of ownership.
