ALPHA TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCES NEW MULTI-MOUNT UPS

Bellingham, Wash., November 2, 1998 - Power supply manufacturer Alpha Technologies has announced the new Nexsys Multi-Mount UPS, a multi-application AC uninterruptible power supply ideal for a wide array of telecommunication applications. The Nexsys Multi-Mount is a flexible UPS solution for telephony providers that require conditioned, uninterrupted power to their system.

The Nexsys Multi-Mount Series is available in 600VA, 900VA and 1250VA ratings. All models are designed to be installed in any one of three configurations: rack mount, wall mount or tower. The installation configuration of the Nexsys Multi-Mount may be changed simply by changing the position of the mounting brackets. These brackets – included with all Multi-Mount models – enable the unit to be rack mounted at front or mid-chassis, mounted to a wall, or stand on the floor next to sensitive equipment. The mounting flexibility of this unit makes it an excellent choice for telecommunication applications. It allows telephony providers to purchase a universal UPS that can be used in a variety of locations, changing as needed to meet new mounting requirements.

This new concept power supply incorporates high efficiency power conditioning with the longest internal runtime available – up to 30 minutes. Additional run time may be added via external battery packs. All batteries are hot-swappable and regulated by the Alpha “Smart Charger,” that ensures internal batteries are consistently at peak performance level and automatically selects a higher charge current when an external battery pack is connected.

The unit is covered by a 3 year warranty, and Alpha offers $25,000 in coverage for any equipment damaged while correctly connected to an Alpha Technologies UPS.
