ALPHA RECEIVES BEST OF SHOW AWARD

Bellingham, Wash., August 1, 2000 - Alpha’s Nexsys Dual Power UPS was awarded Teleconnect’s coveted Best of Show Award at this year’s INNMUG show in New Orleans. This award represents Alpha’s on-going commitment to provide innovative power products to the industry.

The Nexsys Dual Power 300 and Nexsys Dual Power 600 are ideal for backup power and protection to channel bank systems, telecommunications, public utility and security equipment. The new dual purpose power supplies feature both AC and DC outputs.

The Nexsys Dual Power 300 provides up to 240 watts, 300VA of AC power and up to 2 amps of –48 volt DC power output. The Nexsys Dual Power 600 can provide up to 400 watts, 600VA of AC power and up to 4 amps of –48 volt DC power output. In addition, external battery packs can be attached to this unit for up to eight hours of backup power.

The Nexsys Dual Power 300 and 600 UPS systems have been designed to be installed in any one of three configurations: rack mount, wall mount or tower. The installation configuration may be changed simply by changing the position of the mounting brackets, making these units excellent choices for telecommunication applications.

All batteries are hot swappable and are regulated by Alpha’s “Smart Charger” technology. This ensures internal batteries are always at peak performance. Each power supply has intelligent boost operation for brownout protection, noise suppression, remote monitoring and easy battery servicing.
