ALPHA TECHNOLOGIES NAMES NEW VP OF SALES

Bellingham, Wash., June 15, 2000 - Leading Cable Television & Telecommunication power supply manufacturer Alpha Technologies has announced the appointment of Paul Muir as Vice President of Sales, North American Cable TV. He will assume responsibility for the North American Sales force, and be accountable for the overall performance of this strategically critical business unit.

Paul brings a long and successful history of high-tech sales, general management and team building experience to this assignment. His familiarity and experience with the Cable TV industry, as well as previous positions in the Telecommunications market, will allow him to help Alpha maintain its strong leadership position in an increasingly dynamic and competitive market place.
