ALPHA ANNOUNCES NEW STRATEGIC ACCOUNTS DIRECTOR

Bellingham, Wash., December 9, 2000 - Alpha Technologies has announced the appointment of a new Strategic Accounts Director for North American Cable TV Sales.

Roger Draper, extensively involved with the Alpha product management and sales organizations for the last five years, will fill this newly created, critical role for the company. In this new role, Roger is responsible for cable product sales into specific accounts, as well as defining future product needs and power architectures for these customers. Roger’s familiarity with Alpha’s product portfolio and past association with personnel at many of his new accounts will be great assets in his new position.

Before joining Alpha in 1996, Roger spent 20 years in communication power design, product management and sales. Roger is exceptionally qualified for this position and has a vast knowledge of the industry. Alpha believes he will strengthen and promote positive relations now and in the future with his new account responsibilities.
