Bellingham, Wash., May 31, 2006 - Power system provide Alpha Technologies, offers a trailer to house, transport and deploy up to twenty-eight AlphaGen Portable Generators for emergency response situations. These custom designed trailers eliminate generator storage and transportation issues, while increasing emergency preparedness. Network operators use these trailers as a proactive measure to ensure when an emergency occurs, they have the necessary equipment to deploy immediately. Having the AlphaGen portable generators stored and ready to transport at a moment's notice greatly reduces the duration of system outages, a critical key to network reliability.

"The need for portable generators in emergency situations such as hurricanes, ice storms and network failures, has escalated the demand to have them easily deployable and in mass quantity," commented John Hewitt, Alpha Technologies Vice President of North American Cable Sales. Alpha's new trailers are sixteen feet long and have a 10,000-pound capacity. Features of these trailers include: six-year warranty program, 6 x 2 inch tubular steel frame protected with a patented corrosion protection system, and a unique cast aluminum anti-rack cam lock that spans the full width of the trailer for a maximum security. Each generator is secured to a steel interior shelf, and shelf space is available for storage of additional supplies.

For easy access and unloading, the rear door folds down to provide a ramp to roll the generators out of the trailer. A garage style door with torsion spring counterbalance allows the door to be unlocked and opened by one person.
