Bellingham, Wash., January 25, 2005 - Power system provider Alpha Technologies, announces the appointment of Mr. Paul Barlock to the position of President and Chief Operating Officer.

Mr. Barlock comes to Alpha with over 25 years experience in the power electronics industry, gained through executive positions in sales, marketing and operations for leading companies engaged in servicing the needs for power products and solutions within telecommunications, defense and commercial markets.

In addition to his extensive experience in the power electronics industry, Barlock served with distinction as a pilot in the United States Marine Corp, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. In addition, Barlock holds a M.B.A from Boston College and a B.S. from the University of Pittsburgh.
