Bellingham, Wash., February 1, 2005 - Power system provider Alpha Technologies, Inc., announces the appointment of Mr. James Garcia to the position Vice President, US Telecom Sales.

Mr. James Garcia comes to Alpha with over thirty years experience in the Telecommunications Industry. The last five years of Garcia’s career has seen him service the powering needs of the major RBOC’s, and other significant US communication network service providers.

"Jim's proven track record in building and leading successful telecom sales organizations will be of particular value as we continue to increase our position in the local-loop/last-mile portion of business and consumer telephone networks," said Paul Barlock, President and COO of Alpha Technologies. "It is becoming more and more difficult to distinguish the boundaries between established communications services, so our ability to focus business development strategies that capitalize on opportunities in communication powering is critical."

Mr. Garcia is a graduate of LaSalle University, Bachelors Science of Business Management.
