Bellingham, Wash., January 17, 2005 - Power system provider Alpha Technologies introduces its redesigned and enhanced ALI Elite and Pinnacle Plus AC UPS product lines, featuring a sleek design and more standard options. The new ALI Elite and Pinnacle Plus UPS series provide safe, clean, reliable power protection to networking equipment, telecommunication systems, and other mission-critical applications.

The ALI Elite, formerly named the ALI Plus, features pure sine wave, line interactive operation and is available in rack mount and tower modules from 700-3,000VA. “We are very excited about the potential for our new UPS line, and judging by the initial response from our sales and distribution teams, our customers are responding very favorably. ” comments Frank Albano, Vice President, Industrial, Commercial and Government division, Alpha Technologies. Additional ALI Elite features include: smart battery management, automatic frequency selection, smart communication, optional SNMP, TCP/IP base power management software, and dry contact relay alarms.

The Pinnacle Plus is a true on-line double conversion UPS with fully digitized microprocessor controlled technology that can quickly react to varying power interruption conditions and continually offer pure sine wave power to critical equipment with zero transfer time. The advanced battery management charger system shortens the battery recharge time while prolonging the life of the battery. Simplified control circuits make the UPS lighter in weight, easier to control, and more reliable due to the reduction of internal components.

“We upgraded and expanded our online, double conversion product offering by adding a 700VA and 1,500VA model,” comments Albano. He adds, “This updated series provides more options, added benefits, and a better price for our customers than what is available on the market today.”

The new UPS series has added a number of standard features to its product offering. These features include load segmentation and shedding, network transient protection, emergency power off ability, O/P Volt setting and USB communication ports. The LCD display has increased from 8 parameters to 15 parameters providing the user with a larger, brighter display screen.

Both the ALI Elite and Pinnacle Plus product lines come standard with AlphaMon, Alpha’s UPS monitoring software. The windows-based software allows the user to graphically monitor the UPS’s load. Additional features of AlphaMon include programming the UPS with on/off date and unattended UPS shutdown.
