Bellingham, Wash., February 1, 2005 - Power system provider Alpha Technologies, announces the appointment of Michael Burkhalter to the position Vice President, Emerging Markets.

As a senior executive in the standby power industry, Burkhalter brings a diversified base of experience, which includes management positions in sales, marketing and engineering.

Over the last twenty years, Burkhalter has developed a comprehensive understanding of telecommunications, transportation, industrial UPS and process control power requirements, from both an engineering and business development perspective. He has also built a number of successful domestic and international sales channels.
