Bellingham, Wash., June 8, 2005 - Power system provider Alpha Technologies, Inc. renames industrial power group Alpha Industrial Power. Previously known as MTI Technologies, Inc., Alpha Industrial Power provides power solutions for markets that include transportation, oil and gas, power generation, SCADA and process control.

One impending product release includes the Vectra 125VDC switched mode battery charger. The Vectra charger supports up to four 20A, 125VDC hot swappable switched mode rectifier modules for a maximum of 80A output or 60A of redundant output power. Conveniently packaged in a wall or rack mountable cabinet, the Vectra charger system options include 10 and 20 position dual pole breaker panels, low voltage disconnect and 170AH or 340AH battery plants. The Vectra charger is proving to be a popular choice among customers requiring future expansion capability, parallel redundancy, reduced footprint or expanded communications capabilities.
