Alpha Adds ALI Plus Series Power Supplies
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ALPHA ADDS ALI PLUS SERIES POWER SUPPLIES
Bellingham, Wash., March 28, 2001 - Power system manufacturer Alpha Technologies has added a new version of its popular ALI Series uninterruptible power supplies. The ALI Plus Series is designed to provide backup power for sensitive electronic equipment.
The ALI Plus UPS Series is a microprocessor-controlled, pure sine wave, line interactive UPS with an auto voltage regulator that provides safe, clean, reliable power to electronic devices. The ALI Plus Series comes in both tower and rack-mount versions and provides 600VA to 3000VA of backup power.
A major benefit of the ALI Plus Series is a “buck and boost” feature, which allows a widened input voltage range, decreasing the number of times the unit has to switch to batteries. This feature helps during brownout conditions where power is sagging but not completely blacked out.
Another key feature of the ALI Plus Series is its true RS-232 two-way communication, which sends signals to both the network and computer. This enables it to be monitored, shut down, or programmed with an on/off date remotely and from using its own software.
Other benefits include; surge protection, surge suppression and noise filtering, fast battery recharge, hot swappable batteries, DC auto start, optional external SNMP for web agent or UPS expander card, high MTBF and multiple protocol with UPSMON software included.
