Alpha Expands 1600EP Series Headend UPS with 22000EP
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Bellingham, Wash. January 1, 2007 - Leading power solutions provider Alpha Technologies has expanded its 1600EP Series of AC Uninterruptible Power Supplies to include the 22000EP, a single phase headend UPS with 22000VA output capacity.
“This 22000VA UPS is the largest in the industry,” said Greg Zediker, Director of Headend Sales for Alpha Technologies. “It’s this kind of foresight and development that initially propelled the 1600EP Series to be named product of the year in 2005 by Consulting-Specifying Engineer magazine. Until now, you’ve not been able to achieve this output capacity from a single unit, which makes the 22000EP all the more ideal for headend facility operators who need more than just compact AC power.”
The 22000EP protects sensitive loads up to 22kVA, is available in tower configuration and has a three-year on site warranty. It is designed for headend, hub site and optical transition node (OTN) applications where a compact footprint and high-power density are required.
Features include hot swappable batteries, slide-out battery trays, external battery connector for extended runtimes, optional modular receptacle panel and internal SNMP/web browser interface. Additional highlights include wide input voltage and input frequency windows, electronic power factor correction, digital LCD display and programmable front keypad.
