Bellingham, Wash. January 8, 2007 - A global leader in broadband power systems, and member of The Alpha Group, Alpha Technologies GmbH announces the purchase of the power supply systems division of Apsys, the largest cable backup power supply manufacturer in France.
“This is a great opportunity for Alpha Technologies GmbH to ensure the continued support and availability of Apsys powering products,” said Volker Doerre, Director of Sales, Europe for Alpha Technologies GmbH. “We hope to expand Apsys’ solid brand reputation and continue to grow its customer base throughout Europe.”

With the purchase of the Apsys brand, Alpha is committed to maintain the availability of the Modular and Compact series of standby powering systems, as well as their line of non-standby ferroresonant and linear products. In addition, Alpha will honor all outstanding warranties, providing service and offering installation support to existing and future Apsys brand customers.

Apsys’ signature enclosures are made out of Composite Cement Glass (CCV) used for distribution of energy in cable networks and outdoor public lighting.
