G.B. Enterprises is Recognized for 25 Years of Support

Bellingham, Wash. -- May 13, 2008 -- G.B. Enterprises (GBE), a member of The Alpha Group, was recognized last Thursday, May 8, for 25 years of continued support as a major customer to Current Industries, Inc.
Current Industries is a local non-profit contract manufacturing business, founded in 1968, that employs people with developmental disabilities in a number of work situations including wire harness assembly, packaging and distribution.
“With a working relationship spanning three decades, G.B. Enterprises and Current Industries truly grew together,” said Grace Borsari, CEO of GBE. “Our cooperation has moved people from mundane manufacturing into the high tech arena. They do a great job of providing the highest quality product in a rapid timeframe, and we are happy to incorporate their expertise.”
G.B. Enterprises and Current Industries established a working partnership in 1983. This local alliance has provided over 2 million dollars in wages paid directly to adults with disabilities, allowing individuals to participate more fully within the community. These workers are earning money for rent, transportation, shopping and going out to restaurants.
“One of the most gratifying experiences for me is visiting Current Industries and observing workers with disabilities overcoming many pre-conceived ideas and creating satisfaction for themselves and the whole community,” said Borsari. “By working at Current Industries, they are becoming significant contributors to their own economic independence as well as to society as a whole.”
Current Industries, based in Bellingham, Wash., has more than 25 years of contract manufacturing experience, specializing in a comprehensive range of cable and wire harnesses product capabilities including: cut and stripped wire, transformer wire, heavy gauge wire, ribbon cables, modular assemblies, shielded cables and electromechanical assemblies.
G.B. Enterprises, a member of The Alpha Group, was founded in 1978, by Grace Borsari, to manufacture backup supply systems for the cable TV and telecommunications markets. Over the years, GBE has specialized in manufacturing products for communications service providers around the world.
