Bellingham, Wash., September 15, 2004 - Leading provider of powering products for the communications, distributed generation and industrial markets - Alpha Technologies - announces the opening of its Moscow office to service customers and distributors in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and the other states comprising the CIS.

Alpha Technologies has been servicing demand for communication, and oil & gas industry powering solutions in Russia and the CIS for over 12 years.

Heading up the local management team is Mr. Alexander Arkhipov, a telecommunications and Eastern European business development veteran who set up and managed cable television companies for Metromedia International Telecommunications in Central Asia, and distribution networks in the CIS for Lindsey Electronics of Canada. Mr. Arkhipov commented, “I am proud to have joined Alpha as the Managing Director for Russia/CIS at a time when power systems have become a critical factor in the success of telecoms and broadband operators in the region.”

The primary markets now being targeted by Mr. Arkhipov and his team include: fixed and mobile telephone networks, cable and broadband operators, ISP’s, data centers, oil and gas communications infrastructures, transportation, security systems and light and medium industry.

Existing customers within the region include telecom service providers such as Peterstar and Comstar. For cable television, we are proud to be servicing the needs of Comcor and MTU Inform and in oil and gas, such key players as the Caspian Pipeline Corporation have recognized the value and quality of Alpha Technologies powering products.
