Alpha Performs Flawlessly in Orange County, CA Power Outage
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Bellingham, Wash., March 23, 2004 - Power system provider Alpha Technologies, kept systems up and running during a recent commercial power outage in Orange County, California.
On Sunday February 29, 2004 an extensive power outage occurred in Southern California affecting a major broadband communications provider. Although Line power was lost, customers were unaffected due to the performance of an installed base of Alpha Technologies backup power systems. The ten affected Alpha powernodes, containing 26 XM2 power supplies, transferred to backup power seamlessly having lost utility line power.
All of the affected powernodes performed without interruption and kept the system up and running for the three-hour power outage.
The system operator attributed this perfect performance to their ongoing preventative maintenance program performed by the local Alpha Authorized Service Center, and to the power technicians keeping them dialed in to everything.
