Alpha Power Systems Withstand Blaze

Bellingham, Wash., December 1, 2003 - Alpha Technologies power systems performed perfectly during recent fires in the Harbison Canyon area of San Diego County, CA.
Alpha’s Genasys uninterruptible power supplies were caught in the middle of the fires in Harbison Canyon. The two units involved powered 868 homes providing phone, CATV and high speed Internet access to subscribers for eighteen hours before they were denergized by technicians.
In the nearby town of Alpine, utility powered was out for three days and all ten Alpha power supplies in the affected area were up and running for the duration of the outage.
