Alpha Introduces AlphaLight™ Series FTTx UPS

Bellingham, Wash., November 25, 2002 - Power system manufacturer Alpha Technologies introduces its new AlphaLight™ series of uninterruptible power supplies to provide cost effective local powering solutions for optical and other communication devices within FTTx network architectures.
Two products are currently being offered within the AlphaLight™ series, the ELA and the ELH. Both are designed to supply 100 Watts of power to telephony, fiber-to-the-curb or home (FTTC/H), or other communication equipment requiring 48 Volts DC to operate. Features of these cost effective UPS systems include; temperature compensated battery charging for extended battery life, visual and electrical indicators for on-site or remote reporting, and flexible cabinet mounting options.
