Alpha Introduces Low Profile Ground Mount Enclosures
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Bellingham, Wash., November 27, 2002 - Alpha Technologies has expanded its UPE Series ground mount enclosures to include three and six battery low profile enclosures.

The UPE-3L and the UPE-6L have been developed for applications with sensitive height restrictions in distributed ground mount powering architectures. These enclosures are designed to have the power supply located in a separate compartment above the batteries allowing for maximum convection cooling and minimal battery temperature rise. Ideal for use in all climates, each enclosure comes factory configured with an external coax raceway, high magnetic circuit breaker, duplex AC receptacle and service power inserter.

Additional features include passive thermal management, generator powering access door, easy open lid for unobstructed access to the power supply, knockouts in raceway, cable routing and battery lock-in and lock-out slides. Optional features include high security locks, high security bar and storm hood kit.

All Alpha enclosures are constructed of durable powder-coated aluminum, and are engineered to provide maximum protection for power supplies, batteries, generators, and other sensitive equipment from harmful elements such as heat, cold, wind, humidity, dust, and pests.
