Bellingham, Wash., March 6, 2002 - Power supply manufacturer Alpha Technologies has announced a new Meter Convenience Assembly designed to simplify metered outside plant network installations. This new assembly is a factory configured pole mount meter and service disconnect with integral bracket, representing significant cost savings and consistent installations for metered pole mount power systems.

The Meter Convenience Assembly has several features that make it unique and extremely convenient for installations. Benefits include a heavy galvanized steel bracket, factory configuration and wiring, a variety of meters and service disconnects available, two meter attachment points for wood poles, compatibility with wood, concrete and steel poles, and allowance for multiple configuration options. The pole mount bracket is able to accommodate all combinations of meter bases, service disconnect boxes, and a variety of input and output voltage requirements. This new assembly reduces time at the job site, reduces inventory of individual components, and helps facilitate the certification process.
