Bellingham, Wash., August 8, 2002 - Power system manufacturer Alpha Technologies, announces a new Security Bar System for ground-mount enclosures and Storm Hood kits for all Alpha PWE-3 and PME poll-mount enclosures.

The Security Bar System is designed to deter battery theft in high-risk areas. The Storm Hood kits have been designed to protection during severe weather conditions such as wind driven rain and snow. The Security Bar System is used in conjunction with ground-mount enclosure to discourage even the most determined thief. With the bar in place, the time to gain access to the enclosure dramatically increases, putting the thief at risk of being caught. In time, the security bar will become a significant deterrent for future break-in attempts. Installing the Security Bar System can easily protect a $1,400 to $1,800 investment in standby batteries and power supplies.

This system is compatible with Alpha’s UPE-3, UPE-6, UPE-M3, UPE-M6, PN and CE Series enclosures. The Security Bar is easily installed and the kit includes two locking bars, stainless steel hardware, drilling templates and installation guide.

The Storm Hood Kits are made from durable powder coat aluminum and are available as a factory-installed option or for installed PWE-3 enclosures in the field. The field installation kit includes all the necessary mounting hardware and installation instructions.
