ALPHA EXPANDS NIU POWER TO SOUTH AMERICAN COUNTRIES

Bellingham, Wash., September 21, 2001 - The AlphaPoint family of Network Interface Unit (NIU) power supplies is now available to operators in Latin America seeking reliable subscriber-based power solutions.

These products provide critical power conditioning and backup power at the individual subscriber's home. These innovative powering products provide an attractive and cost-effective solution for the rapid deployment of cable telephony services.
