Reaching to the backside of racked power systems can be a challenge. As a solution, Argus Technologies has designed the new 2RU Cordex 650W 48VDC power system to meet full front access requirements. Carefully crafted for restricted space installations, the Cordex 650W front access system is ideal for IPTV, remote terminal, customer premise, optical networking and DSL applications. Its 23” rack mount power system accommodates up to four Cordex 48V, 650W rectifiers, an integrated CXCI controller, with four load breakers and 10 GMT fuse positions within a compact package.
While connection access can be very difficult with compact power systems, the innovative layout of the new front access Cordex power shelf includes a sliding connection bus that dramatically improves power cable terminations. All terminations, including controller I/O and AC input, are in front of the mounting rails, making the new 2RU font access power system optimal for outdoor cabinet applications. Future plans include a three module, 19” mounting offering and NEBS certification.
There has been great feedback and demand for a combination of small form factor with maximum distribution and complete front access. The new front access Cordex 650W system provides operators with an impressive combination of GMT fuses for smaller loads and plug-in circuit breakers for larger loads all contained within a completely front access configuration.
