G.B. Enterprises is recognized for 25 years of support
Grace Borsari, CEO, G.B. Enterprises
On May 8, G.B. Enterprises was
recognized for 25 years of continued
support as a major customer of
Current Industries, Inc.
Current Industries is
a Bellingham-based
non-profit contract
manufacturing business
that employs people
with developmental
disabilities in a number of
work situations, including
wire harness assembly,
packaging and distribution.
With a working relationship spanning
three decades, G.B. Enterprises and
Current Industries truly grew together.
Our cooperation has moved people
from mundane manufacturing into the
high tech arena. They do a great job of
providing the highest quality product
in a rapid timeframe, and we are
happy to incorporate their expertise.
G.B. Enterprises and Current
Industries established a working
partnership in 1983. This local alliance
has provided over 2 million dollars
in wages paid directly to adults with
disabilities, allowing individuals
to participate more fully
within the community. These
workers are earning money
for rent, transportation,
shopping and going out
to restaurants.
One of the most gratifying
experiences for me is
visiting Current Industries and
observing workers with disabilities
overcoming many pre-conceived
ideas and creating satisfaction for
themselves and the whole community.
By working at Current Industries, they
are becoming significant contributors
to their own economic independence
as well as to society as a whole.
