AlphaNet IDH2
  • Uses existing headend equipment
  • Compatible with ANSI/SCTE HMS standards
  • Single transponder supports up to six power supplies and a generator
  • Optional VoIP testing features
  • Used with EDSM interface card
  • System control for multiple power supply installations

Alpha’s XM2 Tollgrade Embedded DOCSIS® Transponder enables cable operators to manage their network powering through the existing cable modem infrastructure. Multiple power supplies, batteries and a generator can be monitored using a single DOCSIS transponder. Data is transmitted to a management system over the network’s DOCSIS cable modem channels through the existing CMTS. Bandwidth use is minimized by using standard SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) communications. Status monitoring information is compatible with ANSI/SCTE HMS standards. Optional VoIP test functionality, allows power supply transponders to become a powerful network diagnostics tool.
