Arlington, Wash. -- September 22, 2011 OutBack Power Technologies, a leading power equipment manufacturer for the global renewable energy market and a member of The Alpha Group, has announced the appointment of Harvey Wilkinson as General Manager.

Wilkinson brings more than 25 years of experience in the energy and technology markets to this role and will be responsible for increasing market growth and revenue expansion consistent with the company’s overall objectives.

Most recently, Wilkinson served as the Vice President of Product Development & Marketing at Ioxus, Inc., a company that provides energy solutions for industrial and consumer, transportation and alternative energy markets. Wilkinson was responsible for product development, marketing and identifying and developing new business development initiatives. His experience at Ioxus, as well as extensive experience in management, marketing and sales at a variety of energy technology companies including A123 Systems, AVESTOR and Beacon Power Corporation, has prepared Wilkinson to lead OutBack Power to meet current growth initiatives.

Harvey, a retired Captain from the US Navy Reserve, received his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees from Cornell University and a Master of Science degree in Business Administration from Boston University. In addition, Wilkinson remains an active member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
