Alpha Energy Becomes Energy Star Partner
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Bellingham, Wash. January 1, 2007 - Alpha Energy announced today it has become an ENERGY STAR partner, helping companies maximize savings in energy and operating costs while earning the ENERGY STAR label for buildings - the US Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) national symbol for superior energy performance. Developing systems that achieve ENERGY STAR’s superior standards helps Alpha Energy customers reap financial rewards in lower power bills, while positioning themselves as environmentally responsible citizens.
"Becoming an ENERGY STAR partner helps us communicate our commitment to developing financially and ecologically-sound powering solutions," said Matt Donnelly, Vice President Alpha Energy. "By incorporating our proven solar power systems with the other AC and DC products of Alpha Technologies, we are able to integrate renewable energy systems with or without existing power grid systems."
As a provider of photovoltaic systems, Alpha Energy is improving the energy performance of its clients’ projects through renewable energy upgrades and the implementation of proven energy management strategies. Working with Alpha Energy, clients can strive to earn the ENERGY STAR label for their buildings and positively impact their operating expenses and shareholder value.
“Investments in improving energy performance can achieve competitive rates of return while cutting energy costs by 30 percent,” said Jean Lupinacci, branch chief, EPA.
The EPA estimates that by 2010, the savings from energy-efficient investments will reduce the annual greenhouse gas emissions in the United States by 2.4 million tons – the equivalent of the pollution produced by 1.7 million cars – and save taxpayers more than $750 million per year.
