ALPHA ENERGY CELEBRATED THE COMMISSIONING OF THE 153kW TURNKEY INSTALLATION IN PHOENIX

On January 28, 2009, members of the media and the general public were invited to a Powering Up ceremony for Alpha Energy to celebrate the commissioning of a 153kW solar power installation for Cox Communications at its Phoenix, AZ headquarters. The 153kW grid-tied solar power system includes 900 170W photovoltaic panels spread across six new parking structures protecting 75 parking spaces for Cox employees. The system will generate 240,000 kilowatt hours per year, offsetting more than 392,081lbs of CO2. The CO2 offset is equivalent to preventing the emissions from 33 cars or the energy use of 16 homes.
